Airman and Quincy native spends time with students

Quincy Native and Quincy High School graduate Master Sergeant James E. Clemens Jr. spent some time Monday with students at Adams School before taking his next tour of duty in Afghanistan.

MSgt. Clemens is a 14-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He has been stationed in Korea, Bosnia, Italy, Kuwait and held numerous stateside assignments. He is currently an Operations Controller at Scott Air Force Base Illinois, near St. Louis.

MSgt. Clemens lead the students in the Pledge of Allegiance and answered questions in second and third grade classes.

MSgt. Clemens leaves for Afghanistan in a week.
