Lansing among leaders: Quincy High School product Sarah Lansing, a senior middle blocker on the Missouri State University volleyball team, ranks No. 1 in the Missouri Valley Conference in blocks per game at 1.61.

She also ranks 14th nationally in the same category and is averaging 2.05 kills per game.

The 6-foot Lansing has recorded three solo blocks and 58 block assists in 11 matches for the Lady Bears, who ranked first in the MVC and seventh nationally in blocking. Lansing was named to the all-tournament teams for the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn/T.J. Sales Invitational and the Utah Classic.

The Lady Bears are 9-2 overall and 2-0 in the MVC going into matches this weekend against Bradley and Northern Iowa.
